Now you can download version 1.1 of The New Mass app from the iTunes App Store! For those of you who already have The New Mass, simply download the update from the App Store on your iOS device. Click here for all the info.

It only took 1 hour and 44 minutes for Apple to approve the update once it was under review. That has to be some kind of record! We are so excited to present the latest version of the first app to explain the new English translation of the Mass to the world. Version 1.1 features many exciting additions, including high-res graphics for the new Retina display on the new iPod Touch and iPhone 4. We also added an important feature which was the #1 request from users, namely, the ability to advance back and forth over the various parts of the Mass. before, one had to return to the root menu.

We also included the final update to the new Nicene Creed translation, and added a “More” page featuring “Tell a Friend” and social media connectivity via Twitter and Facebook.

Many thanks to the phenomenal Kevin Birch, who programmed the update. If you like the upgrade, please give it a rating via the App Store.

Enjoy the new download, everyone!

Any progress on the Android version. I’ve just seen the iPhone version and I know that jealousy is a sin … but I’m prepared to seek forgiveness … once I have my Android copy. 🙂

What’s the status on the android app? I too would love to have this app on my phone & honeycomb tablets. I currently use another app for the daily readings, but it would be great to begin familiarizing myself with the new translation of the liturgy. Keep up the great work!

Hi Kevin, I appreciated your encouraging words! Right now I’m sourcing an Android developer. We badly want an Android version of the app, just as much as you do! Watch for news on this front in the near future.

Hello Cale: Fellow Maritimer.(Saint John, N.B. ) now in Moose Jaw, Sask.
Am a convert from High School days…..a world of experiences and a tremendous Journey being a single soul from Presbyterian/Baptist to the one true Church!
It was thrilling to hear of your journey as a “revert”…..Thank you so much for everything you gave to us tonight with Marcus Grodi. I have hopes to get into some serious study (Christology)….but often my senior years work against me. Please keep me and my Family on your prayer list ! Also could you let me know if possible where one goes in Canada as yet for material on what is termed as the “new Mass”…..not sure if that is the correct terminology. God Bless you !
